(Miri, 3rd) Sarawak Minister of Transport and State Assemblyman for Senadin, Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin, personally visited the Taman Ceria Low-Cost Flats in Permyjaya, Miri, this morning to hand over aid funds to fire disaster victims to help repair damaged houses. He urged the victims to use the aid funds properly.
Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin pointed out that the Welfare Department has arranged for relief funds for 10 affected families, providing building materials based on actual losses for repairing or rebuilding homes. He specifically reminded the victims to use the aid funds for house repair works only, and not for other purposes.
He emphasized that this fund is exclusively for house repairs, and the Welfare Department will send personnel to revisit and inspect the completion of repair works later to ensure that the aid funds are used correctly.
