Vin Diesel, who shot to fame with the blockbuster Hollywood action film series "Fast and Furious," was caught up in a #MeToo controversy in 2023 after being accused of sexual assault by his former assistant Asta Jonasson in a Los Angeles court. Afterwards, Vin Diesel issued a statement via his lawyer denying the allegations. Following an investigation, the case has recently been dismissed by the court.
It is reported that the judge has recently dismissed a total of 10 claims, with the reasoning being that the incident occurred in Georgia, so California law does not apply to the case. In 2023, Asta filed the lawsuit against Vin Diesel at the Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging that during the 2011 filming of "Fast & Furious 5" in Atlanta, Vin Diesel sexually assaulted her. Shortly after the incident, she received a call from Vin Diesel's sister informing her that she had been fired.
