German legendary actor Udo Kier appeared in more than 200 films throughout his life. According to media reports on the 24th, he passed away on the morning of the 23rd at the age of 81. The news of his death was confirmed by his partner, artist boyfriend Delbert McBride. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
Within Udo's extensive career spanning over 200 works, he played leading roles in the 1973 film "Flesh for Frankenstein" and the 1974 film "Blood for Dracula." These two works brought Udo recognition, and he continued to develop his career in Europe afterward. On one occasion at the Berlin Film Festival, he met renowned director Gus Van Sant. Udo credited Gus for enabling him to take roles in America and obtain his SAG membership.
He also appeared in supporting roles in several Hollywood blockbusters, including "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective," "Armageddon," and "Blade." In 1992, he was also featured in Madonna's photobook and music video.
