Yuki Hsu Shocking Revelation: Away from Home for 12 Years, Accused of Not Seeing Dementia-Stricken Mother Before Death, Yet Returning to Claim Million-Dollar Inheritance

Published at Aug 20, 2026 05:18 pm
‘Civilian Diva’ Yuki Hsu (Yuki) resurfaced on the Chinese variety show ‘Sisters Who Make Waves 2023’ (Lang Jie 4) in 2023, sparking a wave of nostalgia. In recent years, she has also continued to perform across various parts of China. Unexpectedly, she is now embroiled in a shocking family dispute! A whistleblower exclusively revealed to ‘AppleNews’ that after Yuki’s mother passed away at the end of last year, Yuki, who had been away from home for over 12 years, ‘never cared about her mother at home during this time and did not care for her mother. Yet after her mother’s passing, she still shamelessly came back to inherit her mother’s estate.’ The whistleblower further criticized her for ‘speaking ill of her mother on TV and still coming back to claim the inheritance,’ and ‘not even returning to pay respects after her mother’s death,’ among a string of shocking accusations that have rocked the entertainment industry.

The whistleblower sent a letter to ‘AppleNews’ stating: ‘Yuki Hsu left home at the end of 2013 and has been away for over 12 years, not caring about her mother at home during this time and never supporting her. After her mother passed away, she still had the nerve to come back and inherit her mother’s estate.’ What angered the whistleblower even more was, ‘At the beginning of 2025, Yuki Hsu appeared on Hu Gua’s online program “Next Please”, claiming she “left home with nothing” and has been away for over 12 years, yet still dared to speak ill of her mother. At that time, Yuki’s mother was already suffering from dementia at home, so she knew there was no way to verify what she said.’

The whistleblower further told ‘AppleNews’: ‘In the end, after Yuki’s mother passed away, she didn’t come to see her for the last time, nor did she attend the funeral or the interment at the columbarium. After speaking ill of her mother on TV, she still had the nerve to come back and claim the inheritance. There’s so much more—truly unspeakable…’ According to reporters’ research, last year Hu Gua invited Yuki Hsu on ‘Next Please’ for tea and a chat. Although she was once hugely popular, she said: ‘The contracts were not real. The money was never with me—it was all in my mother’s hands,’ revealing that she had an even tougher time than Angela Chang.

Yuki Hsu once suffered a neck injury while filming, and her mother told her to let her fans take care of her. On the show, discussing this, she broke down in tears. Hu Gua asked if she was like Angela Chang. She gave a wry smile: ‘I might have had it even worse than her.’ During this time, her family was not by her side—instead, her fans accompanied her through that difficult period. Even the doctor who treated and operated on her was a fan. The two would discuss her treatment plan together and offer support. She was very grateful for her fans’ kindness and their help when she needed it most.

It is understood that after Yuki Hsu’s mother passed away, she left two properties in Tianmu and Wugu, as well as cash, insurance payouts, and other valuable assets. The total inheritance is said to be as high as tens of millions (about one million ringgit). In response, Yuki Hsu’s brother told ‘AppleNews’ today (20th): ‘The amount of money is not the point. The issue is that after our mother passed away, she (Yuki) never came back to pay her respects—even for the funeral she didn’t show up.’ When reporters asked if the funeral notice was delivered to Yuki, her brother responded: ‘Of course someone forwarded it to her. How else would she know to come back to claim the inheritance?’

Yuki Hsu’s brother said sadly: ‘From the time our mother developed dementia until she passed away last year, Yuki never came back to visit or pay respects. Now our mother has already been interred, yet Yuki just keeps hiding out…’ Her brother said angrily: ‘What Yuki says on TV is not true at all. She has been away from home for over 12 years, and our mother never once spoke ill of her in her lifetime.’ As for whether he has anything to say to his sister, he replied: ‘There’s nothing left to say. She can just deal with her own issues.’

Denies Rumors, Issues Lawyer’s Statement

Now, facing these bombshell accusations, Yuki Hsu’s manager told ‘AppleNews’: ‘Regarding the information provided by the whistleblower to the media about Yuki Hsu and her family, her management company would like to respond as follows: 1. The information supplied by the whistleblower to the media is not consistent with the facts. 2. Regarding any unverified and false information, should it continue to spread online or be published by the media, the management company will reserve the right to pursue legal action. This statement is thus issued.’

Subsequently, Yuki Hsu’s manager once again issued a statement to ‘AppleNews’ to clarify. Now, while the whistleblower is making heavy accusations such as ‘away from home for 12 years, did not care for her mother, did not see her before her death yet returned to claim inheritance,’ on the other hand, the management company is categorically denying everything and threatening legal action. Whether more inside stories will emerge from this family drama centered around Yuki Hsu remains to be seen with public interest.
