(Bandar Seri Begawan, 5th) His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei and Prime Minister Gusmão of Timor-Leste witnessed the signing ceremony of three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and the Government of Timor-Leste.
The MoU signing ceremony began with Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence, Pehin Halbi, and Timor-Leste’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Francisco da Costa Monteiro, signing an MoU on energy cooperation.
Subsequently, Brunei’s Minister of Health, Dato Isham, and Timor-Leste’s Minister of Health, Lía António de Araújo dos Reis Amaral, signed an MoU on health cooperation.
Next, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dato Erywan, and Timor-Leste’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Bendito dos Santos Freitas, signed an MoU on the establishment of a bilateral consultation mechanism.
