KUALA LUMPUR, May 20 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today expressed appreciation to parties within the MADANI Government coalition for their commitment to remain united until the end of the administration’s term.
MADANI Government spokesperson Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said the Prime Minister conveyed his appreciation during today’s Cabinet meeting, particularly to Barisan Nasional (BN), Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).
“This commitment reflects the priority given to the interests of the people and the nation, enabling the government to focus fully on addressing economic challenges arising from the crisis in West Asia while ensuring the welfare of the people continues to be safeguarded,” he said during the weekly post-Cabinet meeting press conference at Angkasapuri today.
On another development, Fahmi, who is also Communications Minister, also said that the Cabinet welcomed an initiative by the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) to conduct a survey aimed at identifying challenges and specific issues faced by various sectors and industries among its members.
He said the findings of the survey would assist the government in formulating and coordinating initiatives in a more strategic, targeted and effective manner.
“This step is important to ensure that industry-related issues and challenges can be addressed comprehensively, effectively and sustainably,” he said.
