Miri Chung Hua Public School Celebrates 80th Anniversary – Spectacular Cultural Gala Draws Record Crowd

(Miri, 9th) To celebrate its 80th anniversary, Miri Chung Hua Public School grandly organized the “CHPS Shines at 80” Cultural Gala last night at the Miri Indoor Stadium, drawing a vibrant crowd of over 3,000 attendees.

The gala centered on a stage play with the theme “Surprises Beyond the Rules,” interweaving songs, dances, drama, and multimedia visual effects. With its diverse program, the event showcased the creativity and teamwork of CHPS teachers and students. Lasting over three hours, the entire performance received rounds of passionate applause and cheers from the audience.

The school board chairman Lee Kai Yun, vice chairman Foo Yuan Yuan, treasurer, principal Chan Yong Jia, as well as all staff, students, and parents actively participated that evening, witnessing the school’s great milestone as it entered its glorious 80th year.
