The former trainee from the Chinese talent show "Youth With You 3," Jiang Zhihao, was diagnosed with late-stage lung cancer two years ago at the young age of 26. In June of this year, he revealed that the cancer cells had metastasized to the meninges, with multiple brain lesions causing him immense suffering. Recently, his Weibo was updated again, but it was Jiang's father speaking on his behalf, stating that his son unexpectedly fell into a coma at the end of September. He spent a month in intensive care before being transferred to a general ward, where his condition is now stable but still requires ongoing treatment. The father and son cannot afford the tremendous medical expenses and are asking for help. Jiang's father included a donation site, with a goal of raising 300,000 RMB (approximately 184,000 Ringgit). Currently, 230,000 RMB (approximately 140,000 Ringgit) has been raised.
Jiang Zhihao’s mother passed away from lung cancer many years ago, and unfortunately, he, a non-smoker and non-drinker who is passionate about sports, was also afflicted by the disease. Jiang's father disclosed that his wife and son successively fell seriously ill, leading him to quit his job to care for them. The house has already been mortgaged twice and is about to be auctioned. After deducting loans, it holds little value, plunging the family into financial despair. They can only rely on a meager low-income household subsidy to maintain a basic living. They had no choice but to turn to a donation site to ask for people's help, expressing a willingness to return any leftover funds to donors after treatment costs are covered.
