Hong Kong actor Raymond Cho, soon to be a father, teamed up with Malaysian singer-songwriter Bell Fu Xiya and 108 children to sing the New Year song "Happy Superpower." Today (18th), the MV premiere was held. Raymond Cho, unable to attend the event in Malaysia due to work, shared his experience through a video. His wife Priscilla Wong made a surprise appearance and took the opportunity to campaign for votes for the upcoming "TVB Anniversary Awards 2024." The couple worked together sweetly, captivating everyone!
Raymond Cho expressed his joy in participating in the song and MV shooting, praising "Happy Superpower" as possibly the best song of 2025. In the middle of his speech, his pregnant wife Priscilla Wong appeared on camera, jokingly asking why she wasn't invited, and expressed her desire to participate next time. She also campaigned for TVB's "Anniversary Awards," asking if everyone had voted. The couple continued to support each other for votes, and concluded by saying: "We’ll meet you soon, next time we'll shoot together and enjoy durians!"
"Happy Superpower" was planned by Malaysian Best Actress Wu Tianyu, and features Raymond Cho and Bell Fu Xiya, along with 108 children from Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Germany, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. They include children of various artists such as Wu Tianyu, Cai Peixuan, Wang Shujun, Chen Yu, and Jiang Peiying, as well as Indonesian internet celebrity dance prodigy Kylie. The MV was directed by Malaysian director Jess Chia.
Wu Tianyu, in her first venture into producing a New Year song, shared that she got the idea while listening to festive songs during a detox treatment. She mentioned that "Happy Superpower" is created for children. Watching the MV alone during rehearsals made her feel lonely, and she admitted that she missed the children, joking, "When I'm old, I should have many people to care for me, with so many children and grandchildren!"
First-time music video director Zhang Jess Chia confessed she was moved by the presence of the children’s parents at such important moments. "If I really had superpowers, I would want to go back to be with important people and not miss their significant days."
Bell Fu Xiya humorously remarked on working with the "picky" Wu Tianyu and Zhang Jess Chia, saying that the song underwent many revisions. "After their strict training, I believe I can write songs better in the future." She highly praised her first-time collaborator Raymond Cho, complimenting his friendly nature and fast learning. "He arrived right after getting off the plane to record, learned quickly, and was able to fulfill any request, even picking up the MV dance after just one practice."
