Former JYJ member Park Yoochun, who was embroiled in a sexual assault scandal and later sentenced to two years probation for methamphetamine use in 2019, withdrew from the Korean market and instead signed with a Japanese company in hopes of reviving his career; last September, he held a press conference in Tokyo announcing the launch of his first Japanese solo album, hoping to make a comeback in showbiz. On the 27th, the verdict from the second trial was announced: Park Yoochun still lost the case and must pay his former agency 500 million KRW (approximately 1.5 million ringgit).
Although Park Yoochun still lost in the second trial, his mood appears unaffected. He recently updated his social media, posting photos of himself smiling brightly while holding a cake, seeming to be living quite well. However, netizens noticed his thinning hair, which some suspect is related to hair dyeing.
In 2023, Park Yoochun unilaterally terminated his contract with his former agency “Have Fun Together,” leading the company to apply for an injunction to prohibit his entertainment activities. Park Yoochun ignored the court order and continued to perform overseas. Although the second verdict still requires him to pay about 1.5 million ringgit, he himself seems completely unconcerned.
