Famous Stylist Reveals: Popular Idol’s Fake Fan-Loving Persona, Secretly Curses at Fans in Private

Taiwanese veteran stylist Li Mingchuan recently appeared as a guest on Qiangqiang (Lin Jialing)’s YouTube channel, "Qiangli Glue," sharing the behind-the-scenes stories he’s witnessed during his 30-year career in showbiz. On the show, he bluntly stated that while the entertainment industry may seem glamorous on the surface, it is in fact full of packaging and personas. Many celebrities are completely different people both on and off camera, and he frankly admitted, “The most disillusioning thing after entering the industry was discovering that so many things are fake.”

Over the years, Li Mingchuan has interacted closely with numerous celebrities, and once encountered a male idol who was known for his fresh image and refined style, but whose private behavior was shocking. He revealed that as soon as this star entered the dressing room, his attitude changed dramatically. Not only did he disregard the feelings of on-site staff by chain-smoking, he even deliberately blew smoke in the stylist’s face. His behavior was extremely out of control and was in sharp contrast to his public image.

Beyond morality issues, Li Mingchuan also mentioned the true attitude many celebrities have towards their fans. He personally witnessed a celebrity who enthusiastically interacted with fans in front of the cameras, not only smiling warmly but also acting very friendly, which deeply moved the fans. However, once the event ended and the celebrity got into the van and the door was closed, their expression changed instantly and, in a burst of emotion, cursed at the fans outside the car: “So annoying! Why are they shouting over there!” The sudden shift in attitude left Li Mingchuan, who was in the car at the time, utterly shocked.
