Global tycoon Musk suffered a loss of $13.8 billion (RM61.798 billion) in wealth overnight due to a sharp 6% decline in Tesla's stock price, affecting the founder of Tesla and SpaceX.
According to the data released on January 2nd US time, Tesla's annual vehicle delivery for 2024 shows a total delivery of about 1.79 million units, which is less than the 1.81 million units delivered last year, marking the first decline in vehicle deliveries. In light of this, Tesla's stock price fell by 6.08% on Thursday and closed at $379.28 (RM1,698), reducing Musk's net worth to $407.4 billion (RM1.82 trillion), yet he remains the world's richest person.
According to the American Forbes magazine's billionaire rankings, American tech entrepreneur, founder of Tesla and SpaceX, Musk, had a net worth exceeding $421.2 billion (RM1.88 trillion) as of January 2nd, leading globally by a wide margin.
