Hong Kong actress Fiona Sit clinched the Best Actress award at the Hong Kong Film Awards for her role in the movie "Dearest Anita". On July 30, she had an accident while filming a new drama, resulting in severe tears to her lips and mouth.
According to Hong Kong media reports, she was rushed to the hospital after the incident. Her dermatologist husband, Chow Chi-On, quickly arrived at the scene and coordinated with a professional medical team to arrange for emergency suturing after consultations. Afterwards, Fiona Sit also assured everyone of her safety on social media.
After examination by doctors, Fiona Sit was immediately arranged to undergo a suturing procedure, receiving over 50 stitches in total. She has since returned home to rest and has suspended all work. On Instagram Stories, she posted a photo and wrote: “Thank you everyone for your concern! I’m grateful to the plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists, and all the medical staff for their help. The operation went very smoothly and I will definitely recover soon!”
Fiona Sit also apologized to the production team and clients: “Once again, I sincerely apologize to all crew members and clients affected by the halted shooting schedule. I will do my best to heal my wounds and recover quickly so I can return to work as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.”
