Three Teams Advance to Finals Together as A.C.E Clinches Championship—Huang Fanshuo: Growth Is More Important Than Ranking

Singapore’s Mediacorp Channel 8 program "Splendid Rising S38" featured the "Jinhe Children’s Singing Competition 2025" which recently held its grand finals. Three student groups mentored by pop musician Dr. Huang Fanshuo delivered outstanding performances and successfully entered the top 6: A.C.E captured the championship, VYBE secured third place, while A_Dollys received the Best Styling Award and Excellence Award, achieving impressive results.

The "Jinhe Children’s Singing Competition" is open to children aged 7 to 12, participating in teams of 3 to 5, aiming to discover talents and cultivate stage confidence. The competition started its auditions in 2025, progressing through multiple elimination rounds, with only 15 teams advancing to the televised recording. Students from Junwei Singing Arts Academy—A.C.E, VYBE, and A_Dollys—overcame various obstacles and became spotlight teams.

Hailing from Johor Bahru, A.C.E clinched the championship with the song "Girl." Under their teacher’s re-arrangement, the performance incorporated retro and musical theatre elements. Over just a one-minute performance, the choreography underwent multiple adjustments, and the group ultimately impressed the judges with their cohesion and infectious energy. VYBE from Sabah gave a steady performance of "Green Mountain Blues" to win third place, while the youngest group, A_Dollys, charmed the judges with a lively rendition of "I Am a Bouncing Candy," earning them the Best Styling Award.

Huang Fanshuo hopes the children will learn to believe in their abilities through the competition journey and gain experience, growth, and learning in the process.
Huang Fanshuo stated that these three groups were not originally trained as teams, but were temporarily formed for the competition. From working through differences to intensive rehearsals to build rapport, many members even started learning dance from scratch, taking on the challenge of singing and dancing in a short time and making remarkable progress. He emphasized that he values the children's growth and teamwork during the competition more than the final ranking.
