To mark the occasion of Lord Guangze's birthday, Teng Yun Temple in Brunei once again extended a warm invitation this year to the Min Opera Troupe from Xiang'an Folk Opera School in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China to perform.
The 10-night series of operatic performances to thank the deity for divine blessings is held from the 6th (Monday) to the 17th (Friday) of this month, with the exception of the 9th and 16th (Thursdays). Each night features a different production in gratitude for divine grace, creating a vibrant scene.
During the thanksgiving opera, Teng Yun Temple's chairman, Li Yongzhen, was also presented with a 'God and Buddha Red Hai'er' by the Min Opera Troupe from Xiang'an Folk Opera School, Xiamen, Fujian, as a token of gratitude for Chairman Li Yongzhen's support.
Yesterday, devotees came to Teng Yun Temple in Brunei to pay their respects, praying for peace and blessings, as well as handling related matters such as offering for fate-enhancement and peace lamps.
