(Bandar Seri Begawan, 23rd) The Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) has updated its warning list, adding BTC 800 Lurotix to the list of individuals and entities suspected of involvement in suspicious and/or unethical activities.
The BDCB warning list features individuals and companies that are currently not licensed, authorized, or regulated by BDCB.
The purpose of publishing this warning list is to remind the public to remain vigilant and avoid being misled into believing that the individuals or companies on the list have been licensed, authorized, or regulated by BDCB.
This list does not affect any further assessments by BDCB regarding the activities of the relevant parties. The list can be found on the BDCB website.
BDCB advises the public to only conduct transactions with financial institutions licensed by BDCB and to avoid dealing with any company or individual engaged in or offering financial services.
Financial products and services that require BDCB licensing include remittance, currency exchange, lending, and pawnbroking services. The public is also reminded that those who conduct transactions with unlicensed or unregulated companies or individuals will not be protected under the regulatory framework of the Brunei Darussalam Central Bank.
