(Miri, 2nd) On 30/12/2025 at approximately 1905hrs, the Miri District Police Chief confirmed that a fatal accident had occurred on Jalan Pan Borneo (KM 909). This accident involved two (2) vehicles, namely a Perodua Kancil and a lorry.
As a result of the police investigation, the Perodua Kancil vehicle driven by a 68-year-old man coming from the direction of Bintulu towards Miri lost control and skidded into the opposite lane and collided with a lorry driven by a 45-year-old man.
As a result of the accident, both vehicles suffered severe damage to the front of the vehicle.
The impact of the accident caused the driver of the Perodua Kancil and another 61-year-old female passenger to die at the scene while the lorry driver did not suffer any injuries.
Based on the police report, an investigation paper was opened and investigated under section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
