(Miri, 19th) Miri Member of Parliament Chiew Choon Man was delighted to complete the beach cleanup activity organized by the People's Justice Party alongside Malaysia's Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Sustainable Development, Nik Nazmi.
He said, through this Gotong-Royong activity, we successfully collected and processed waste on the beach of Pulau Melayu. This effort not only directly improves hygiene levels but also emphasizes the importance of continuity, as maintaining the beauty and cleanliness of the environment must be a priority for all parties.
He pointed out that the program is also aimed at educating the public about the impact of waste management and pollution on our marine life and environment. With the participation of local residents and party members, we hope more people will understand the crucial role everyone plays in protecting beaches and public areas. Through real education and action, we can promote a culture of environmental responsibility.
"This activity proves the Justice Party's commitment to the environment. The participation of party members helps ensure our vision of a sustainable future can be realized through practical actions. We urge more party members and community leaders to continue organizing or participating in such programs to show the younger generation that we care about a healthy environment."
It is reported that the activity collected over 300 kilograms of garbage.
