On January 1, Poland replaced Hungary as the rotating presidency of the European Union for a term of six months.
As the rotating presidency, Poland will focus on security issues, covering areas such as information, economy, energy, food, and health. During its term, Poland will host more than 300 related meetings.
Polish Prime Minister Tusk stated in December 2024 that during Poland's tenure as the EU rotating presidency, it will strive to strengthen EU security.
