The Bloomberg Billionaires Index shows that American tech entrepreneurs Musk, Zuckerberg, and Jensen Huang lead the 2024 global wealth rankings.
Bloomberg News reported on December 31 that American tech stocks surged in 2024, significantly boosting the wealth of the three individuals. Among them, Tesla founder Musk topped the list with $442.1 billion (1.98 trillion RMB), experiencing a wealth increase of $213 billion over the year, making him the billionaire with the highest net worth and growth rate.
Facebook founder Zuckerberg and chip giant Nvidia's founder and CEO Jensen Huang saw their wealth increase by $81 billion and $76 billion, ranking second and third respectively.
Other tech moguls who benefited from the stock market include Oracle co-founder Ellison, Amazon founder and Executive Chairman Bezos, Dell Computer founder Michael Dell, and Google co-founders Page and Brin.
The report stated that the combined wealth of the world's top 500 billionaires surpassed the $10 trillion mark, with an increase of $1.5 trillion, while the wealth of these eight tech billionaires grew by $600 billion, accounting for 43% of the wealth increase among the top 500 billionaires.
