The Drents Museum in the Netherlands confirmed that four Romanian artifacts exhibited in the museum were stolen by criminals in the early morning hours of the 25th, including a golden helmet nearly 2500 years old.

The stolen artifacts include a golden helmet from around 450 BC and three Dacian royal bracelets from 50 BC.

Preliminary investigations by Dutch police suggest that multiple individuals were involved in the heist.

This touring exhibition featured a total of 673 exhibits from the Romanian National History Museum and other museums and was originally scheduled to end on the 26th.

The Drents Museum stated that police received a report of an explosion inside the museum around 3:45 AM on the 25th, estimating that the criminals used explosives to blow open the entrance before entering the museum.

Romanian President Iohannis said that Dutch Prime Minister Rutte has assured him that the Netherlands is taking all necessary measures to identify the thieves and recover the artifacts.
