Countdown 40 Seconds: US 'Starship' Test Flight Called Off Again

The 10th test flight of SpaceX's next-generation heavy-lift rocket “Starship” was canceled again just 40 seconds before countdown, due to weather conditions.

SpaceX spokesperson Holt said: “The weather got in our way.” Holt also said he believed the rocket is “very likely” to attempt another launch tomorrow.

According to previous reports, “Starship” was originally scheduled to launch on the 24th local time from its base in southern Texas, USA, but the launch was canceled before liftoff due to a ground system malfunction. SpaceX founder Elon Musk later wrote on social media that a ground system liquid oxygen leak led to the cancellation of the launch on the 24th, and a new launch attempt would be made on the 25th.

According to the introduction, the “Starship” rocket has a total length of about 120 meters and a diameter of about 9 meters, and consists of two parts. The first stage is the approximately 70-meter-long “Super Heavy” booster, and the second stage is the “Starship” spacecraft. Both stages are reusable. The rocket is designed to deliver people and cargo to Earth orbit, the Moon, and even Mars.
