Song Hye-kyo’s Most Awkward Moment at Blue Dragon Awards: 'Deadly Reunion' With Exes Hyun Bin and Lee Byung-hun

The nominee list for the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards has been announced, sparkling with star power and packed with hot topics. The suspense blockbuster War and Revolt directed by Park Chan-wook leads the pack with 12 nominations, sweeping major categories such as Best Picture, Director, Best Actor for Lee Byung-hun, and Best Actress for Son Ye-jin, making it this year’s biggest favorite.

Hot on its heels is I, the Executioner, the new film by Train to Busan director Yeon Sang-ho, which received 10 nominations, while Harbin, the war film starring Hyun Bin, picked up 8 nominations.

This year’s Best Actor race is a true “battle of the titans,” with nominees including Lee Byung-hun, Hyun Bin, Park Jung-min, Cho Jung-seok, and Sol Kyung-gu—all actors renowned for their skills. Notably, Hyun Bin and Lee Byung-hun will not only be squaring off for the Best Actor award, but with Hyun Bin’s wife Son Ye-jin also nominated for Best Actress, fans are excited at the prospect of the “visual couple” sharing the stage once more at the awards ceremony, just as they did five years ago at the Baeksang Arts Awards for Crash Landing on You.

The Best Actress category is equally fiery, with Son Ye-jin going head-to-head against Song Hye-kyo, Lee Jae-in, Lee Hye-young, and Yoona. By coincidence, Song Hye-kyo will be appearing at the event alongside two of her ex-boyfriends, Lee Byung-hun and Hyun Bin, adding a dramatic tension to both the red carpet and award stage. The 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards will take place on November 19 at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul.
