KUCHING,27 May: The franchising industry holds great promise, with its value expected to exceed RM26 billion this year.
Dayak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) Deputy President, Kilat Beriak, who touted its prospects, urged more Dayaks to therefore participate in the franchise business.
“It is a unique business model,” he said at the close of a half-day business talk, which provided valuable insights on the franchise business model and its potential, here last week.
Multi award-winning early childhood programme, Smart Reader® Kids franchisor – Smart Reader® Worldwide -collaborated with DCCI to organise the talk on May 15.
The event drew enthusiastic participation from DCCI members and representatives of various organisations, reflecting a growing interest in franchising as a sustainable and profitable business model.
They were told that franchising is a reliable path for business growth, offering entrepreneurs a reduced-risk way to start their ventures by capitalising on established brand recognition and structured support which could be inherited by future generations.

There are currently more than 300 Smart Reader® Kids franchise centres nationwide and 150 international centres across the UAE, China, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
In East Malaysia alone, there are already 21 Smart Reader® Kids centres serving families in Sarawak, Sabah and Labuan.
