Local singer Ah Niu (Chen Qingxiang) was recently invited to attend the ceremonial memorial of Xuanyuan Huangdi held at the Huangdi Mausoleum in Huangling County, Shaanxi Province, China, during Qingming of the Bingwu (2026) year, and represented overseas Chinese to present a floral basket. He admitted that this was the most unique 'appearance on stage' in his 20-plus-year career, feeling both nervous and especially touched.
In an interview, he revealed that he was quite nervous the night before the event, barely getting any sleep, and frankly stated that this was completely different from participating in variety shows or concerts, "This is a very solemn ceremony, totally different from the entertainment events I usually take part in."
At the climax of the ceremony, the "Long Fei Zhong Hua" segment, a 56-meter-long golden dragon soared skyward from in front of Xuanyuan Hall, charging straight into the clouds. Recalling that moment, Ah Niu (Chen Qingxiang) admitted that his eyes grew moist for a moment: "I don’t know why, but when the auspicious dragon ascended, my eyes became a little wet. I felt very proud at that moment."
This trip to the Huangdi Mausoleum was not only an honor in his performing career but also felt like a passing on and baptism of family spirit. He described being able to represent overseas Chinese to present flowers as "an immense honor," saying, "I need to hurry home to pray at my hometown temple, tell the gods about it, and also tell my family's ancestral tablets—this is an honor for my family."

After the memorial ceremony ended, he also participated in the Overseas Chinese Forest tree-planting event, describing the experience with the phrase: "It takes ten years to grow trees, but a hundred years to cultivate people." "I felt like everyone was returning to their roots, sharing the same origin, all thriving and growing together. This symbolizes the everlasting vitality of our Chinese culture."#
