Since Dee Hsu (also known as Xiao S) suffered the heartbreaking loss of her sister last February, she officially returned to variety shows last month, making her comeback on the show “Miss Not Xidi.” On the 9th, she made her first public appearance since her return, attending a brand event as a spokesperson. Dressed in an all-white dress, she looked in great shape. She revealed that two months ago, upon knowing she would be facing the media today, she felt nervous every day, but later realized that being nervous wouldn’t help and kept encouraging herself, telling herself: “Dee Hsu, You can do it.” She said her mental and physical state today is very good and believes she is gradually returning to her ideal state. However, she readily admitted that she still dreams about her late sister Barbie Hsu (also known as Da S) about 4 or 5 days a week, and she still has the habit of sending messages to her sister whenever important events happen.

Dee Hsu shared, “For instance, when I need to attend an event like today, I’ll leave a message for her on WeChat, telling her, ‘Shan, I’m attending this event today. You need to give me your strength.’” Sometimes, before a program airs, she will habitually send a message, “I’ll tell her that our show is about to be broadcast and ask her to bless us.”

Dee openly stated that this way of doing things carries great meaning for her: “Others might not be able to sense it, but it’s a connection between me and her. Not every day, but whenever there’s something important or a special feeling, I’ll want to share it with her.” Every word expresses her deep longing for her sister.

Speaking about their mother’s current condition, Dee said their mother recently watched her comeback show and also wanted to take a picture of herself playing pickleball to let fans know she’s getting better. As for her brother-in-law DJ Koo (Koo Jun-yup), Dee said he’s focused on painting right now: “He’s still painting Da S, moving from sketches to oil paintings. They’re really lifelike, even capturing her gaze and soul.” She said there’s light in his eyes now, and he laughs at her jokes during meals. She believes he’ll continue to get better, but for now, won’t push him to appear on her show.

In addition, when asked about rumors of her husband Mike Hsu messaging Da S’s female fans, as well as reports of her mother and DJ Koo not getting along, Dee Hsu said she won’t explain much: “My philosophy now is to live my own life. The chaos and drama have nothing to do with me. I want to love my family and friends well. Now our whole family is closer, more loving, and supporting one another.”
