Chan Kuan Heng: Thirty Years of Experience – A Testament to Struggle and Endeavor

(Miri, 5th) – Sarawak Chen Clan Association Federation President Chan Kuan Heng stated that thirty years marks an accumulation of time, and even more so, a testament to struggle and endeavor. Since its founding, the Miri Chen Clan Association has steadily forged ahead, uniting clan ties, serving the local society, and inheriting the virtues and traditions of their ancestors. Its achievements are visible to all and truly admirable.
 He expressed these sentiments last night in his speech at the “Tracing and Inspiring” 30th Anniversary Gala Dinner, organized by the Miri Chen Clan Association at the Grand Palace Hotel Miri.
On behalf of the Sarawak Chen Clan Association Federation, Chan Kuan Heng first extended his warmest congratulations to the Miri Chen Clan Association on its 30th founding anniversary, and thanked the organizers for the invitation. He felt deeply honored and warmly moved to gather with clan members on such a meaningful occasion to jointly celebrate this grand event.

He said that over the past thirty years, the Miri Chen Clan Association has progressed from the hardships of its founding days to its current stable development. This is the result of the joint efforts of all committee members and clan relatives, fully demonstrating the spirit of unity, mutual assistance, and heritage of the Chen clan.
“The theme of today's celebration is 'Tracing and Inspiring.' We trace the dedication and original intentions of our predecessors and inspire the responsibility and hope of the younger generation. Thirty years is not an endpoint but a new beginning. I believe your association will continue to prosper on the current foundation, with stronger clan ties and an ever-flourishing clan heritage.”
He pointed out that family bonds are a source of strength, and clan ties are an emotional anchor. No matter where one comes from or what language one speaks, all Chen clan relatives share the same bloodline and a common origin. This celebration is not only about marking the growth of an organization, but also about remembering the inheritance of culture and the bonds of kinship.
Chan Kuan Heng also wished the Miri Chen Clan Association a successful 30th anniversary, prosperous association affairs, and a thriving, flourishing Chen clan for generations to come.
