Miri Chan Clan Association 30th Anniversary Celebration: Same Ancestry, United as One Family

(Miri, 5th) Dato' Chan Chao Yao, Permanent Honorary Advisor of the Miri Chan Clan Association and Deputy Minister of Sarawak Tourism, stated that since its establishment, the Miri Chan Clan Association has always upheld the spirit of "from the same ancestry, united as one family," uniting the strength of clan members, actively promoting cultural heritage, charity, and community service, and has made significant contributions to community development.
He expressed this in a speech delivered at the 30th Anniversary Dinner themed "Tracing Roots, Continuing Legacy" held by the Miri Chan Clan Association last night at the Miri Imperial Palace Grand Hotel.
Due to official duties, he could not attend in person, and was represented by Bangkuru Fang Feng Jin, who read out the speech on his behalf.
Chan Chao Yao emphasized that over the past 30 years, the Clan Association has not only united clan members but has also actively carried out cultural and public welfare activities, demonstrating a high level of cohesion and organizational strength, which is truly admirable.

He said that with the continuous development of Sarawak's infrastructure and tourism industry, the connections among clan members have become even closer. The Miri Chan Clan Association also keeps pace with the times by effectively utilizing social media platforms to strengthen ties with clan members at home and abroad, showcasing outstanding organizational capabilities and cohesion, which is truly worth learning from.
He believes that under the leadership of the president and the council, the Clan Association will continue to uphold the core values of unity, mutual assistance, cultural inheritance, and the promotion of charity, continuously strengthening its affairs, serving clan members, and benefitting society.
Fang Feng Jin, on behalf of the guest of honor Dato' Chan Chao Yao, also wished the 30th anniversary celebration of the Miri Chan Clan Association a great success, and the continued prosperity, unity, and future success of its talented members.
