On the 30th, Thailand accused Cambodia of 'blatantly violating' the ceasefire agreement.

The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement saying that on the night of the 29th, Cambodian troops attacked Thai troops in Sisaket Province with light weapons and grenades, with the assault continuing into the morning of the 30th.

The Thai Foreign Ministry stated that this is a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement.

Thailand reiterated its commitment to a comprehensive ceasefire and the peaceful resolution of the current situation, strongly calling on Cambodia to immediately stop all actions violating the ceasefire agreement and to fully adhere to the agreement.

Thai government spokesperson Chaiya Yuth also noted that Thailand has brought the situation under control, and after 8 a.m. on the 30th (9 a.m. Malaysian time), 'the overall situation along the border is reported to have returned to normal.'

Nevertheless, an AFP reporter stationed in Cambodia pointed out that shelling had been heard continuously since the fighting began last Thursday, but from the start of the ceasefire until Wednesday morning, no explosions were heard.

Soon after the ceasefire agreement came into effect, Thailand had already accused Cambodia of continuing attacks on multiple Thai locations. However, Cambodia denies violating the ceasefire agreement.

On July 28th, under the mediation of Malaysian Prime Minister and ASEAN rotating chair Anwar, Thai acting Prime Minister Puttan and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet held talks in Putrajaya and reached a ceasefire agreement.

The ceasefire agreement took effect at midnight that day. China and the United States also respectively sent their ambassadors to Malaysia to attend the meeting.
