(Sri Aman, 22nd) The Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) has called on party members at all levels to work diligently and cooperate closely in order to further consolidate the party’s standing and strength.
Datuk Seri John Sikie, Sarawak Premier’s Office Minister and PRS president, said that strengthening the party’s power can start with expanding the membership count of each branch.
He said: “I hope each branch can set a target of at least 3,000 members to reinforce the party’s grassroots strength and operational mechanism.”
He made these remarks during his speech at the “2025 Sri Aman Region Pre-Christmas Gathering Dinner” held at Sri Aman Hotel on Saturday.
He also called for more professionals and experts from various fields to join PRS, bringing professional skills and fresh perspectives to jointly support the party’s mission and Sarawak’s development.
In addition, Sikie expressed his gratitude to all members and representatives for their support during the recently held PRS Triennial Delegates Conference (TDC), and entrusted him to continue serving as party president.
Those present at the event included Deputy Minister of Digital, Datuk Wilson Ugak, Bukit Begunan State Assemblyman and event chairman, Datuk Mong Dagang, as well as community leaders, party representatives, and the public from across the Sri Aman Division.
