(Sri Aman, 22nd) The Kuala Rajang Premier Circumcision Program continued to receive enthusiastic response this year, with over 200 participants joining the event.
The program first commenced in Sri Aman, attracting 104 participants. This was followed by 48 participants in Belawai, 24 in Sare, and 12 in Selalang—not including those who attended without appointments.
The majority of participants were boys aged 6 to 12. The event was jointly organized by the Youth Movement and the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) N.41 Kuala Rajang Youth Wing.
Deputy Minister of Urban Planning, Land Administration, and Environment and Kuala Rajang State Assemblyman, Dato Len Talif, stated that the program has been held for six consecutive years, receiving active support from the local community annually.
He said the program not only continues community traditions, but also provides free circumcision services for families in need.
"This program greatly assists parents by easing their financial burden and sparing them the trouble of sending their children to faraway government or private medical institutions," he said.
He also expressed his gratitude for the cooperation from all parties, especially the PBB Youth Wing, volunteers, and experienced medical professionals in the circumcision field.
He pointed out that everyone’s commitment and involvement showcased continuous care for the well-being of the community, particularly for the low-income rural groups.
Attendees at the event included PBB N.41 Kuala Rajang Youth Wing Chief Mornurazli Morshidi and PBB N.41 Kuala Rajang Women’s Wing Chairperson Misiah Abu Seman.
