A gas poisoning incident occurred in Hebi City, Henan Province, China, resulting in 5 deaths.
According to the Hebi city government website, the Shan District Emergency Management Bureau of Hebi City released an official statement regarding a work safety incident in its jurisdiction on the 29th.
The statement said that on the morning of that day, a harmful gas poisoning incident occurred at Hexin Chemical Co., Ltd. in the Shan District of Hebi City, causing 5 people to die after unsuccessful rescue efforts, 1 person to be seriously injured but in stable condition, and 2 people with minor injuries.
The statement added that after the incident, emergency response was quickly initiated, with teams from emergency management, environmental protection, and health promptly organized for medical treatment of the injured and shutdown of production equipment.
