Singapore Trade Office in Taipei: No Singaporeans Affected by Knife Attack Incident

(Singapore, 21st) On Friday evening (December 19th), a random knife attack occurred in Taipei. The Singapore Trade Office in Taipei stated that no Singaporeans were affected by this incident, but reminded Singaporeans in Taiwan or planning to visit to remain vigilant. People are advised to closely monitor updates on their destinations through Taiwanese news reports and to heed local government instructions.
The Singapore Trade Office in Taipei posted on Facebook on Saturday (20th) that it has contacted local authorities. As of now, no Singaporean has been affected by this incident.

The Singapore Trade Office in Taipei extends its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to those injured.
The office strongly recommends Singaporeans to register at https://eregister.mfa.gov.sg so that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs can contact them if necessary. Travelers should also purchase comprehensive travel insurance.
