(Seremban, 2nd) Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid said that he was summoned last night to have an audience with Negeri Sembilan’s ruler Tuanku Muhriz, during which he presented the list of candidates for the new Menteri Besar (Chief Minister) of Negeri Sembilan.
After leaving Istana Hinggap, Ahmad Zahid told the media that the palace will issue an official statement as soon as possible to announce the relevant decision to the public.
He said that, in this state election, Barisan Nasional won 18 state assembly seats and Perikatan Nasional (PN) won 7 seats, and both sides will form the new government of Negeri Sembilan.
"I was instructed to have an audience with His Highness tonight, and I have submitted the names of the new Chief Minister candidates. The palace will issue a statement as soon as possible."
However, he did not disclose the specific names of the new Chief Minister candidates, and everything is pending the official announcement from the palace.
