(Phuket, 30th) — A shocking incident has occurred in Phuket, Thailand, where a monk shot dead another monk inside a temple.
According to reports from Thai Headline News Agency, at around 6 a.m. on the 29th, the Phuket Provincial Police received a report of a monk being shot dead inside the restroom at Khao Rang Temple. After receiving the report, police rushed to the scene for investigation and found that the suspect was a 47-year-old monk who was hiding in his quarters within the temple.
The police called him out of the room and confiscated the firearm used in the crime on the spot. The gun contained six rounds of .38 caliber bullets, and 14 more bullets were found in the room.
Upon examining the crime scene, police found four bullet casings and one live round that was not fired near the body. There were four bullet wounds on the body, specifically on the neck, right arm, and chest.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the two men were monks from the same temple. It is suspected that the victim had long bullied the suspect, who eventually could not bear it any longer and decided to take action. On the day of the incident, the victim did not lock the bathroom door while using it, and was playing loud audio on his mobile phone, disturbing others. In a fit of anger, the suspect pulled out his own handgun and opened fire. After shooting, he ejected the spent casings, reloaded six more bullets, and returned to his quarters to hide until he was arrested by police.
Currently, police have already pressed charges against the suspect and handed him over to investigators for legal processing.
