Big S (Barbie Hsu) passed away in Japan in February 2025. To this day, the whereabouts of her assets and luxury residence remain under public scrutiny. According to Taiwanese media reports, the luxury residence in ‘Taipei Xinyi’ where Big S lived is still being paid for by her ex-husband Wang Xiaofei, while her current husband Koo Jun-yup reportedly has no intention to inherit it. Rumors say that during her lifetime, Big S’s assets were mostly managed by S Mother (Huang Chunmei), making the follow-up disposition of the mansion a renewed focal point. In response, S Mother has spoken out.
According to Mirror Weekly, friends revealed that when Big S passed away, her bank savings amounted to less than NT$2 million (approximately RM25,3900), so these funds are insufficient to repay the mortgage on the ‘Taipei Xinyi’ residence. The monthly mortgage payment, amounting to more than NT$1 million, is said to be a heavy burden; rumor has it Wang Xiaofei is considering selling the property. If a buyer cannot be found soon, the mansion may end up facing foreclosure.
On this, S Mother helplessly responded to the media: “Thank you, because I did not receive any inheritance, and I am already half-dead. Those who have inherited should handle it themselves. I am about to be forced out of the home I worked so hard to buy with my own money. I don’t understand how the court ruled, so I can’t answer! Thank you.” It is reported that besides the Xinyi District mansion, the ‘National Art Gallery’ residence where S Mother currently lives is also registered under Big S’s name.
The report also points out that Koo Jun-yup still visits Jinbaoshan every day to accompany Big S and rarely meets with the Xu (Hsu) family. His collaboration with a Taiwanese medical aesthetics clinic has not been renewed after expiration. Following Big S’s passing, the legal disputes between her and Wang Xiaofei have temporarily come to an end, but dealing with her inheritance remains a major challenge.

Regarding the inheritance division, by law, the two minor children inherit two-thirds of the assets. Wang Xiaofei has established a trust account for them. As for the one-third inherited by Koo Jun-yup, he will handle it according to his own arrangements.
