Iranian President: Iran’s Response to Aggression Will Be 'Severe and Regretful for the Opponent'

Iranian President Pezeshkian stated on the 30th that Iran’s response to any brutal aggression will be severe and will make the other party regret it.

He made this response on social media regarding U.S. President Trump’s threatening remarks.

On the 29th, U.S. President Trump stated during a meeting at the Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida with visiting Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu that if Iran attempts to rebuild its ballistic missile program, the U.S. will support Israel in launching further strikes against Iran.

On June 13, Israel launched large-scale airstrikes against multiple locations in Iran. In response, Iran carried out multiple rounds of missile and drone attacks on various targets within Israel. On the 21st (U.S. Eastern time), Trump announced that U.S. military forces had airstruck three Iranian nuclear facilities: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

Student Protests Break Out in Tehran and Isfahan

According to Iranian media reports, after several days of protests by shopkeepers in the capital Tehran due to economic hardship, student protests broke out on the 30th at many universities in Tehran and the central city of Isfahan, criticizing the declining standard of living.

The reports said that protests broke out at 10 universities across Iran, including 7 top universities in Tehran.
