Netizens pieced together a death timeline, with rumors circulating that Yu Menglong swallowed a key abusive red USB before being thrown off the building, though this remains unconfirmed. Recently, a video circulated online allegedly showing three men disposing of a body, with a voice believed to say 'I'm afraid of heights, let me go back,' thought to possibly be his final plea before death.

The attendees of Yu Menglong's last gathering have yet to be clarified. Online rumors claim his cousin said Yu Menglong was with three men and one woman that night, with 32-year-old actress Song Yiren suspected of being involved. Her various social media platforms have been flooded with questions from netizens in recent days, but she has not responded and continues to delete questioning comments. Netizens have raised two major doubts, hoping she will come forward to clarify.

Song Yiren is under suspicion because she is known to be close to director Cheng Qingsong and screenwriter Ji Guanguang, both rumored by netizens to have possibly been present at the scene.
