Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit was just exposed for having an 'embarrassing' interaction with the late American wealthy sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and now her 29-year-old eldest son, Håkon Lorentzen, whom she had with her ex-partner, officially stood trial at Oslo District Court on the 3rd.
On the eve of the trial, 29-year-old Håkon was arrested by the police again, in circumstances similar to his initial arrest, on suspicion of assault, threatening with a knife, and violating a restraining order. Police have detained him for four weeks, so Håkon will begin the trial in custody.
Håkon faces up to 38 charges. He is not only accused of raping four women while they were unconscious but also of secretly filming sexual videos, trafficking large amounts of drugs, and even inflicting cruel domestic violence—such as 'choking and slamming his influencer ex-girlfriend against a refrigerator.'
This highly watched trial is expected to last until March 19.
Prosecutors allege that between 2018 and 2024, Håkon raped four women, with several of the incidents occurring while the victims were 'asleep or too drunk to resist,' and even filmed part of the criminal acts.
Additionally, last month police added a serious drug charge against Håkon for an incident in 2020, accusing him of transporting up to 3.5 kilograms of marijuana. Håkon has admitted to some lesser assault and drug use charges but strongly denies the rape allegations.
The indictment reveals details of violent acts Håkon committed against his past girlfriends.
The indictment points out that during Håkon's 2022–2023 relationship with well-known influencer Haukeland, he repeatedly hit her in the face, choked her, and even 'slammed her into a refrigerator.' He reportedly admitted shortly after his arrest last August that he committed some of the acts under the influence of 'alcohol and cocaine,' and claimed to have long struggled with mental health and substance abuse issues.
