(Bandar Seri Begawan, 15th) The Brunei Hakka Association will hold its Annual General Meeting at 10:00am on the 17th of this month (Sunday), at the Kindergarten Building of the Chung Hwa Middle School, Kuala Belait. At the same time, there will be a ceremony to honor senior members and present academic excellence awards to members’ children.
The association calls on all members to attend enthusiastically, to show concern for the development of its affairs, and to participate in the annual meeting together.
On the day of the meeting, attendance will be confirmed, followed by a speech from the president and confirmation of the minutes from the 2025 annual meeting. At the meeting, the secretary will present the 2025 Association Affairs Report, and the treasurer will present the 2025 Financial Report.
In addition, the meeting will discuss proposals from members, and emergency motions (if any) may also be raised and discussed during the meeting. After completing all agenda items, the meeting will adjourn successfully.
On the same day, there will be a Senior Members Honoring Activity to express the association’s respect and care for elderly members. The event includes the presentation of commemorative gifts for seniors and the distribution of red packets to members aged 70 or above. Red packets are only available for collection by those who attend the meeting, followed by a group photo for remembrance.
On the same day, the association will also present academic excellence awards to members’ children to commend those with outstanding academic achievements, encouraging students to continue their efforts and aim for even better results. After the award ceremony, a group photo will be taken, and lunch will be provided for attendees.
