(Miri, 26th) — The Sarawak State Library Miri Branch will be holding its final blood donation drive of the year on November 29, 2025 (Saturday). The event is co-organized with the Miri Hospital Blood Bank and will be held at the Emart Riam Shopping Mall from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Shirley Szebah anak Mambai, Corporate Management Officer of the Miri Sarawak State Library Branch, stated that this event aligns with the Sarawak State Library’s role as a community-oriented information and resource center, committed to supporting public welfare and raising community awareness about the importance of blood donation.
She pointed out: “As an institution that serves as both a knowledge center and a community hub, the Sarawak State Library has always been dedicated to giving back to society through impactful activities like this.”
She added that this blood donation drive also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly “Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being”—encouraging healthy lifestyles, as well as “Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals,” by fostering collaboration with Miri Hospital and the Emart Shopping Mall at Riam for a win-win outcome.
As a token of appreciation, the first 50 successful donors will receive a RM30 Popular Bookstore voucher. All participants will also be provided with special refreshments.
