Welcoming Students Back to School: St. John’s Kuala Belait Holds Road Safety Seminar

(Kuala Belait, 8th) St. John’s School Kuala Belait recently welcomed students back to school after the first semester and Hari Raya holidays. 
The opening ceremony began with the St. John’s School Music Club leading everyone in singing the national anthem and school song, followed by a prayer recited by tenth-grade student Eng Fa. 
Next, Senior Administrative Officer Mr. Matthew delivered a welcoming speech. He reminded students to observe school discipline and to work hard for the upcoming exams. Afterwards, tenth-grade class S student Rulaina hosted the road safety seminar and introduced the guests from the Royal Brunei Police Force Traffic Control and Investigation Department: Assistant Superintendent Nafi, Sergeant 4564 Chazaina, and Woman Police Officer 5426 Luchaliman. 
The Royal Brunei Police Force team gave an informative and engaging lecture, sharing statistics on traffic accidents in Brunei, emphasizing the importance of conducting safety awareness campaigns, and listing common traffic violations along with their corresponding fines. At the end of the activity, the students recited a road safety pledge together. 
The school principal, Dr. Cheng Jingyue, expressed gratitude to the guests and reaffirmed the school’s support for road safety awareness activities.
