On the 24th, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized that China has always advocated resolving disputes between countries through dialogue rather than force, and hopes that Thailand and Cambodia will show restraint and inclusiveness to resolve their border disputes as soon as possible.
According to Chinese media reports, Wang Yi held a China-Thailand foreign ministers consultation mechanism meeting with Thai Foreign Minister Parnpree Bahiddha-nukara in Bangkok on the same day. Wang Yi said that he hopes Thailand and Cambodia will demonstrate restraint and inclusiveness, create an environment for dialogue, consolidate the ceasefire situation, restore bilateral contacts, resolve border disputes as soon as possible, and maintain a peaceful and stable environment.
When talking about China-Thailand relations, Wang Yi said that in the face of the intertwined and turbulent international situation, China is willing to work together with Thailand, seize the opportunity, and jointly practice true multilateralism.
Parnpree said that the Thai side is willing to strengthen high-level exchanges with China, deepen all-round cooperation in connectivity, economy and trade, combating online gambling and telecom fraud, and promote the continuous development of the China-Thailand community with a shared future.
When meeting with Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul on the same day, Wang Yi said that China has always been a trustworthy and reliable strategic partner of Thailand.
He also said that he hoped Thailand would step up efforts to crack down on online gambling and telecom fraud, creating a good environment for China-Thailand relations.
