(Miri, 19th) Sarawak Minister of Transport and Senadin Constituency Assemblyman Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin yesterday inspected the newly completed Sin Lo Bing Garden Recreation Park, built with funds from the 2025 Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) allocated to his constituency, to check on the completed works.
This recreational park is located at Lorong 1B/1, Jalan Cahaya in Sin Lo Bing Garden, implemented by the Miri City Council, with a project cost of RM250,000 and constructed by Exclusive Revenue Sdn Bhd.
The project commenced on 12 January 2026, originally scheduled to be completed within 4 months, by 11 May, but subsequently received a 67-day extension, with the revised completion date set for 17 July. The project is now 100% completed. Lee Kim Shin (center) inspects the park landscaping and recreational facilities. The project scope included site clearing, construction of covered drains that also serve as pedestrian walkways to reduce waterlogging and prevent mosquito breeding, landscaping beautification, and installation of recreational facilities.
The park is equipped with children’s play equipment, including seesaws, swings, foot massage stones, and snakes & ladders. Four LED solar garden lights have been installed, along with nine benches, to provide local residents with spaces for recreation, exercise, and family activities.
This project was promoted via the Senadin Constituency 2025 RTP allocation, aiming to improve community recreational facilities and the living environment, and provide residents with a more comfortable and safer public leisure space.
