Putin: Reasons to Believe the Russia-Ukraine Conflict Is Nearing Its End

On the 29th, Russia Today news agency quoted Russian President Putin as saying that, judging from the situation on the battlefield of the special military operation, there is reason to believe that the Russia-Ukraine conflict is nearing its end. However, as the fighting continues, it is impossible to set a specific timeline for the end of the conflict.

Putin made these remarks regarding the Russia-Ukraine conflict at a press conference following the conclusion of his state visit to Kazakhstan.

He said that Russia’s strikes on the Kyiv region were a response to Ukrainian forces’ attacks on the Luhansk region, and that Russian troops are launching an offensive along the entire line of the special military operation.

He noted that statements made by European politicians about being prepared to fight against Russia are nonsense. Russia has never threatened European countries in the past or at present, but any place posing a direct military threat to Russia will be considered a legitimate target.
