Chinese actress Fan Bingbing has recently been busy in Thailand promoting her skincare brand. She has welcomed fans warmly and shared her plan to accept “only 1 role a year.”
The 44-year-old Fan Bingbing is renowned for her ageless looks and, given her extensive knowledge of skincare, has established her own brand. Recently, determined to expand into the Southeast Asian market, she launched a flagship store in Bangkok, Thailand, personally attending as the face of the brand. During the grand opening, she frequently interacted with fans to boost the event’s atmosphere.
At the event, Fan Bingbing spoke about her current approach to acting in films, stating: “I carefully review scripts, but you have to understand that I’m getting older—I can’t film 9 movies a year like I used to. Shooting 1 film a year is my bottom line. If there’s a good role, I will definitely act! As for retiring, none of you would allow that, nor would you let me get married, haha! So I’ll just seek out good collaborators and take on meaningful roles.” She also expressed gratitude for her fans’ continued support.
Additionally, Fan Bingbing’s Malaysian film The Mother Earth has been selected for the “Signature Spotlight Section” at next month’s 30th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. She will receive the “Global Cinema Icon Award” in recognition of her three decades of contributions to the film industry.
