Chen Derong Faces Family Dispute: Mother and Sister Call Police Over Alleged Surveillance

51-year-old “Qiong Yao Goddess” Chen Derong has recently focused her career in China. However, reports have surfaced that disagreements have arisen among the three Chen sisters regarding caregiving and property issues. The second sister even took their mother to the police, alleging that they were being monitored. In response, both Chen’s mother and eldest sister denied these claims.

According to “Mirror Weekly,” Chen’s 81-year-old mother has lived for many years in a Taipei Da’an district property worth tens of millions of NT dollars, with a foreign caregiver residing with her. In recent years, her health is said to have declined, with occasional signs of dementia and fluctuating memory. She is reportedly most fond of her second daughter. Recently, it was revealed that the second sister took their elderly mother to the police, claiming that the mother suspected she was being monitored, causing her significant anxiety.

This stirred dissatisfaction in Chen Derong and her eldest sister, who suspect that the second sister is influencing their mother’s judgment. In response, the eldest sister denied the police report, stating that their mother is elderly, sometimes has clear memory, sometimes not, and only occasionally shows suspicion or delusions. Chen’s mother also denied having dementia, adding that she has lived in her house for 50 to 60 years, and that she has neither wealth nor attraction, has no intention of selling the house, and hasn’t thought about leaving it to any particular daughter. “They all live better lives than I do; no one wants my money.”
