(Kuching, Dec 24) Batu Kitang assemblyman Datuk Lo Khere Chiang pointed out that the Kota Sentosa community is urged to become the eyes and ears of the Royal Malaysian Police to report suspicious activities.

He stated that crime and drug abuse are becoming increasingly serious challenges, not only in urban areas but also spreading gradually in rural areas.

He disclosed that solving this problem requires the cooperation of all parties, including government agencies such as the Royal Malaysian Police and local governments.

He hopes that all residents can become the eyes and ears and immediately report any suspicious activities to the authorities.

Datuk Lo Khere Chiang, speaking at the launching ceremony of the Safe City Program held at the Kampong Haji Baki Community Hall yesterday, pointed out that everyone needs to instill good values and ensure that they are not influenced by negative elements.

He expressed concern about crimes involving teenagers and students.

He said, if not immediately addressed, the future of the younger generation will be threatened and affected.
