(Kuching, 24th) Satok assemblyman Datuk Ibrahim Baki hopes that next year the Safe City Program will expand to the entire Kuching area, including Jalan Haji Taha.
He noted that the Safe City Program implemented by the Kuching North City Commission aims to improve high-risk areas and ensure the safety of Kuching's communities.
He stated that this initiative was launched in 2011 by the Ministry of Home Affairs, supported by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government, and is implemented in the Sadung District by the Kuching North City Commission.
“The project aims to introduce more advanced security systems to detect and reduce crime threats, such as theft in residential areas.”
Datuk Ibrahim Baki made these remarks during an interview after visiting the Safe City Project site in front of the Happy Garden community recreational park on Pineapple Road yesterday. He pointed out that the main goal of the project is to create a safer environment, allowing the community to live without the fear of crime, thus enabling them to live more peacefully.
