(Kuala Lumpur, 24th) Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Tengku Zafrul, said that ASEAN and its dialogue partner South Korea are exploring new initiatives to deepen trade and investment relations.
He pointed out that the launch of the ASEAN-Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership last October marks the beginning of a new era in bilateral relations. This framework provides more opportunities for closer cooperation in emerging fields, such as the digital economy, green transformation, and resilient supply chains.
He said that the aim is to ensure that cooperation remains relevant, forward-looking, and mutually beneficial.
“Our discussions today are built upon this strong and stable foundation.”
He made these remarks during the 22nd ASEAN-Korea Consultation, held on the third day of the ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Meeting.
